The onsen experience was amazing, but the showers felt a bit creepy.

Had an amazing time at Hakone Tent! The staff were so kind and helpful. The onsen was a real treat. The only downside was the futons, which were a bit too thin for my liking. Wish I could’ve stayed longer!

The onsen on site provided a unique experience, letting you soak away the day's troubles in those hot springs. The rooftop terrace offered a nice spot to chill out and enjoy a bit of fresh air.
The mixed-gender showers felt dark and dingy, giving an unsettling vibe, especially for travelers seeking privacy. With limited toilets and showers, we faced some serious waiting times when the place was crowded. Climbing multiple flights of steep steps to access facilities was definitely a hassle, particularly late at night. Food was pricey and not exactly impressive, lacking the quality you might expect for the cost.

Room cleanliness needs a serious upgrade!!! Dusty tatami floors and leaky plumbing took away from the experience. The location is convenient for transportation, but everything felt a bit rough around the edges!!!

Family with children delight!
The staff were Very nice! They even made a reservation for us at a restaurant, and I swear, the food was good. My boys couldn't get enough of the private onsen, they kept saying it was like being in a real-life adventure!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but you know what, totally acceptable for the experience we had.

Onsen Guesthouse Hakone Tent was a highlight of our trip! The location is perfect, just a short walk from Gora station. The onsen experience was genuinely relaxing with private baths available, and we loved the traditional Japanese-style twin room with tatami flooring. The kitchen was super convenient for preparing meals.
Accessing toilets and showers can be a bit of a hassle.

The Japanese-Style Twin Room was a cozy spot with traditional tatami flooring and futons. It felt authentic and gave a nice cultural vibe. The room was clean and spacious enough for two, and it was cool to have easy access to the onsen. However, the futons felt a bit thinner than I prefer, which made sleeping a little less comfy. I'd totally recommend it for the experience though!

great experience , but noisy late nights
The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to help during our stay. The onsen had an authentic feel and was a wonderful way to relax after a long day. The view from our room was mesmerizing, with the mountains creating a stunning backdrop to our trip.
The noise from other guests was quite distracting during the night, which impacted our sleep.

Truly enjoyed the comfortable traditional Japanese-style room with tatami mats and appealing futons. The atmosphere was lively, with guests hanging out in the social areas and the onsen baths available for private use. A great selection of light snacks was offered, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to assist. However, be prepared for strong sulfur smells from the onsen water, which may not be to everyone's liking. Additionally, the futons could feel a bit thin if you're used to thicker mattresses.
